Better Go Mad in the Wild Scores in Italy and Mexico
The feature-length documentary film Better Go Mad in the Wild by director Miro Remo received a Special Mention at the international Bridge Film Festival 2026, held in Verona, Italy.
The Italian festival awarded the film for its original auteur approach, distinctive cinematic poetics, and the way it captures the boundaries between reality, freedom, and human creativity. (see video from 2:09)
Better Go Mad in the Wild continues Remo's long-term body of work, in which he focuses on extraordinary personalities, unconventional worldviews, and stories of people living outside established rules. The film delivers an intense portrait of individuality and explores what it means to remain true to one's own path despite society's expectations.
The awards at the Italian Bridge Film Festival 2026 and the Mexican Guanajuato International Film Festival mark another international success for the film, which is being presented at film festivals around the world and gaining attention for its distinctive documentary style.

Through a formal approach that transgresses the conventions of the genre and blurs the boundaries between reality and hallucination, it constructs a language of its own —as disturbing as it is sensitive— that lingers in the memory for the honesty and radicalness of its cinematic language.
